Your beauty is a resource. And perhaps also a responsibility.
Your beauty has function and purpose. It allures, entices and captivates. It is the honey pot that attracts the pollinator. It sparks joy. It activates bliss. And it compels the creation of even more beauty.
Your beauty wants to be savoured. It wants to be seen, heard, pondered and appreciated.⠀
Which means it needs to be shared. Your beauty - in word, deed, sentiment, aesthetic - needs to be shared for the powerful resource that it is.
Yes, it needs protection and safety. Yes, it needs respect and consideration.
And more than anything, it needs to be expressed.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So please, let us each find the ways to offer our beauty into this fine world. To adorn our realities with its sweet essence. To let it’s enriching serum soak deep into the marrow of life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The balm of your beauty is needed. Now. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thank you, so much, in retrospect & in advance 🌏🌞🌿
“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.”
~ Alan Watts
Being adaptive is an essential part of the human experience. How we do the adapting makes all the difference. Permaculture urges us to “creatively use and respond to change”. This gives us a BIG clue as to the way of nature wisdom.
Having holistic life skills to help make the most of life’s twirly whirly curve balls while living our best life is something we can do now to help us develop those dance moves.
I get it. It’s NOT easy to find this type of holistic support from someone who speaks your language.
So if you’re needing someone to hear you in your situation, share relevant ideas from a nature wisdom angle, and support you to creatively dance through life’s changes, I’d love to help.
It’s my deep profound pleasure to contribute in this way.
You can even DM me now to book a free explore call about what life & leadership coaching with me could mean to you.
And in the meantime, enjoy the plunge into the seas of change and dance on friends👩🏽🎤✨
Life is not, and never will be, all flower petals and fluffy feels.
Just like so many, I look for the path of the feel-good whenever I can. Marie Kondo is definitely onto something when she advises us to ask “Does this bring you joy?”.
That said, the path of least resistance isn’t necessarily enjoyable. When we’re between a rock and a hard place, we’ve gotta know how to emotionally regulate such that we can manoeuvre to where we can be in a more stable situation.
Knowing how to be real and honest, how to ease off expectation, and how to dwell in unconditional trust are valuable skills for such self-regulation. Tools like Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and the Four Agreements provide solid stepping stones to find those places of stability and connection.
So sure, the petals of bliss may not rain down upon our brow constantly. It might even feel like big sloppy mud rain instead. But what we can do is learn to dance through it with skill, grace and as much joy as we can conjure.
Working with people to help them develop these life skills brings me joy. And I’m learning all the time. So I’m curious, what tools do you use to self-regulate when in sticky situations? 🌿
Oh my heart - receiving this type of message is deffffinitely a heart warmer!
Presenting at events like Newkind Conference is usually a winner of a time for me. Sharing insights on topics I'm passionate about to a load of people is such a special thing.
Though, it can also feel vulnerable. What if people don't get it? What if I don't do the topic justice? Thankfully I've learned a LOT about supporting myself to show up in a good, clear way regardless.
Especially helpful for getting up in front of the crowd is having comments like this land in my inbox afterwards. Rob shared this soon after the 2020 Newkind Conference and I was totally chuffed. To feel seen and appreciated is a truly special gift. And to receive positive feedback loops like this commendation helps me to keep getting up and out in helping people be inspired to thrive together.
So thank you for sharing your love and appreciation! Something so simple as letting someone know what you think can support the ripple effect of change to spread further and further still.
